John Calvin Presbyterian Church is committed to giving of ourselves in service and in mission and ministry to tell and share the great news of Jesus Christ. There are many opportunities to live our your purpose in mission work in the local San Antonio area, the US and abroad. In the summer of 2009, the JR High Youth from our church travelled to the inner city of San Antonio to serve in homeless shelters and soup kitchens and the SR High Youth travelled to Houston to continue hurricane relief. We also had a team of adults that flew to Guatemala in July to help build a church.

Service
Whether you feel God's call to service in music, mission, teaching, prayer, visitation, or youth work, there is a place and a purpose for you at John Calvin! We invite you to the next C.L.A.S.S. 301 - Discovering My S.H.A.P.E. (This acronym stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experiences.) God has blessed you in these five areas as God has designed you. You will be most effective for Jesus Christ when you know your S.H.A.P.E. and then move into those areas that need your S.H.A.P.E. The next C.L.A.S.S. 301 will be Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm. |
